Dr. Ellen Katz has had extensive experience in both the world of business and the world of education. As part of the management team for the Consolidated Edison Company, one of the largest energy providers in the state of New York, Dr. Katz was responsible for program development (winning numerous national awards) and market research and analysis. Her research, writing and collaboration with community groups have been extensive. Dr. Katz is a specialist in designing and administering student internship programs for universities that desire their business and education majors to experience working in corporate America. Among other skills, students learn how to assess the organizational behavior of successful businesses and how to determine the right organizational fit for themselves. Dr. Katz was cited by the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University for her work in supervising student interns. She is a recognized leader in several professional organizations. America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals (AROP) profiled Dr. Katz as Biography of the Month in October 2004. In 2005, AROP bestowed on her a lifetime honorary membership and VIP status. Dr. Maxine Rowley began her professional career as a writer for ABC and NBC television and their affiliated stations. She continued a career in communications for the Utah State University Extension Service. That led her to pursue teaching in public schools and at the university level. She is the former chair of Family Life and Home Economics at Brigham Young University. Dr. Rowley is well-known as an expert in free-enterprise education. She has held a national office in a number of professional organizations and has served as a national consultant to businesses and state offices of education on free enterprise education. Drs. Katz and Rowley recently conducted research on women's changing expectations and perceptions of professional organizations. They co-authored and presented reports on the study and an article based on the research. Both Dr. Katz and Dr. Rowley are qualified to testify in cases where there is an issue of stereotyping women. |
